553 Discipline The following special order of the day by the G.O.C., Malaya, dated 1.6.42, is published for the information of all concerned.
“Whereas by reason of the recent existence of Active Service, it is necessary for the public service that the Forces under my command shall be temporarily subject to the Army Act as if they were on Active Service.
Now I do Hereby Declare that pursuant to Arm Act, Sec. 189, the Force now under my command shall be deemed to be on Active Service for the period of three months from the date hereof.”
