9th January 1942

Richardson’s account continues:

Slept well in back of truck. Planes over again 0800. Some action towards Port Swettenham. Later they were over again and bombed quite near our Motor transport. Several people killed in Klang. No damage to us. Pollock and I spent the afternoon. in R.H45. and later we had a very good dinner. Around 2200hrs we moved off as far as Banting (33 kms/21 miles south of Klang). Stayed the night on the truck.46
