Seeking Justice

Dad’s story in his own words ends here but there is more to tell.

The comradeship that had developed over the years as Prisoners of War had led those involved to set up an association known as ex-FEPOW (ex Far Eastern Prisoners of War). Dad played a very active role in the Leeds branch serving as Chairman for many years.

The aim of the Association was to help those who survived and the families of those less fortunate. One key aim was to gain compensation for the extreme hardship that had been suffered in the service of their country.

Events dictated that they were not to be successful in Dad’s lifetime but letters received from the Foreign Office and The US Secretary of State show just how hard they tried for "justice".

The End

Sharing information with others is rewarding in itself, the pieces from the jigsaw begin to fit together and a picture begins to appear. Improve your knowledge and help make the Fepow Story an everlasting memorial to their memory.
