Man

by

Win Rainer

What is man, child in adult years

Who is he, that can reduce a woman to tears

Is it in deep emotion, that we can only feel

What is it that gives him woman appeal.

Man must live with woman all his life

First his mother, then his wife,

Bathed in womanly affection, or is he lost

Does he ever stop to consider the cost.

Is it reaction to woman’s whiles

That show in his face, in frowns or smiles,

To make a man, a woman he needs

Isn’t it true, he goes where she leads.

He is taught economy at an early age

Who knows better then she, be a living wage

A cool calm mind, there is nothing she cannot achieve

A way of life in which she believes.
