Farewell

By

Win Rainer

Turn around and walk away

Don’t look back at me,

For heartbreak and tears

Mirrored in my face you’d see,

Time will pass so slow

Then I’ll be gone

No sun will shine,

No birds in song,

The wind will whistle

Through the trees and mourn,

No more will I greet the early dawn

Twill be farewell to all the priceless

Things I love so well,

Into infinity I’ll pass

And forever dwell.
