Eventide

By

Win Rainer

When day is done and shadows fall

That is the time I love best of all,

When my family is home and my lifes complete,

Pippy, my dog, lies down at my feet.

I think of my day that’s gone with pleasant thought,

Of its problems and pleasantries it brought,

I feel so secure in my own quiet way,

That’s where the secret of happiness lay.
