Dusk

By

Win Rainer

The clock strikes but I have no sence of time

Along the road I walk and the world is mine

My life is rich with everything that is free

Like the view from the hill, as far as I can see

Of buzzing bees and birds in flight

Never ever fails to enchant and delight

There is nothing to loose but so much to gain

At eventide where peace and contentment reign

The sun sets in all its glory over the hill

I wonder where and how I will

Deep in thought but constantly aware

Of all the shades of beauty that are there

Dusk deepens and shadows fall

An owl hoots then night covers all.
