    • From KAULA LABUT (5°56'N 117°43’E) to TANJONG PANDARAS (TANJONG PISAN) the SOUTH shore of LABUK Bay, is wild and inhospitable, offsring no suitable landing places, The coast is fringed by mangrove swamps, with wide mud flats extending offshore from KUALÁ LABUT to a point 2.5 mls EAST of SUNGEI GUM GUM. Beyond, the mud flats give way to offshore rocks and coral fronting the jungle covered coast. There is high ground near the shore at TANJONG SEMAWANG and between SUNGEI GUM GUM and TANJONG  PANDARAS but even here the coastline itself is low and densely covered with mangrove, nipa palm, and jungle.

From TANJONG PANDARAS (Tg PISAN) SOUTH-EASTward, the jungle covered coast is fringed with almost unbroken coral reefs as far as the two islands, NUNUYON LAUT and NUNUYON DERAT.
