D. RADAR

Bongo Island

Located at 119°45'E 05°01'N on SW slope of hill on the Island. MARK 1 Model 3. Air Search. This is certain.

LANGAAN Island

Located 118°10'E 06°13'N (just NORTH of SA.NDA.KAN ) Mark 1 Modol 2. AIR search. Sighted by a/c therefore reasonably certain.

 No other Rader Station in the NORTH BORNEO Area are known to Sec 22.

 

E. OTHER INFORATION

    1. Othor infm is held by D/Int on following areas:-

    • TAWAO
    • LAHAAD DATU
    • JESSELTON
    • SANDAKAN
    • BNB - general.

    This will be communicated verbally to Party leaders before departure.

    2. According to Infm received from NEFIS  believed to be reliable, there are 30 Japanese at friALINi.U (sec See B übove), 30 each at TAWAN (presumebly TÄWAO) and GOBANG in BNB and a fairly big concentration of JAPS along the EAST Coast (Jan 45)
